The Sixth Meeting of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund was held on June 20, 2008. The meeting addressed several issues, including rehabilitation of heating of 7 special schools within the frame of Urban Heating Project (heating and hot water). After approval of latter, the meeting with directors of 7 schools was organized and as a result, the agreements were signed. Currently, the design works carried out by “Engineering Evros” (winner of the tender) LTD are on-going. The BOT members have already discussed the issue on approval of tender results “Assistance to bio-ethanol production in Armenia”. As a result of tender, “Enertech International Inc.” (USA) – BBI International (USA) company was acknowledged a winner and undertook the implementation of work. The issue of approving the tender results of “Assistance to development of new solar PV technologies in Armenia” within the frame of Renewable Energy Project was discussed, for the implementation of which Danish Energy Management (Denmark)- Solaren LLC (RA)- consortium was selected. The contracts were signed with above-mentioned organizations and the works are currently in implementation stage.
